TWO AMERICAS --- IT IS DIVIDED BY THE DIFFERENCES IN EFFORTS

 

In early January 2014, Bob Lonsberry, a Rochester talk radio personality on WHAM 1180 am said this in response to Obama's "income inequality speech" .

Two Americas

The Democrats are right, there are two Americas.
The America that works, and the America that doesn't.
The America that contributes, and the America that doesn't.
It's not the haves and the haven'ts, it's the dos and the don'ts.
Some people do their duty as Americans, obey the law, support themselves, contribute to society, and others don't. That's the divide in America.

It's not about income inequality, it's about civic irresponsibility.
It's about a political party that preaches hatred, greed and victimization in order to win elective office.
It's about a political party that loves power more than it loves its country. It's not invective, it's truth, and it's about time someone said it.
The politics of envy was on proud display a couple weeks ago when president Obama pledged the rest of his term to fighting "income inequality." He noted that some people make more than other people, that some people have higher incomes than others, and he says that's not just.

That is the rationale of thievery. The other guy has it, you want it, Obama will take it for you. Vote Democrat.
That is the philosophy that produced Detroit. It is the electoral philosophy that is destroying America.
It conceals a fundamental deviation from American values and common sense because it ends up not benefiting the people who support it, but a betrayal.

The Democrats have not empowered their followers, they have enslaved them in a culture of dependence and entitlement, of victimhood and anger instead of ability and hope.
The president's premise - that you reduce income inequality by debasing the successful - seeks to deny the successful the consequences of their choices and spare the unsuccessful the consequences of their choices.
By and large, income variation in society is a result of different choices leading to different consequences. Those who choose wisely and responsibly have far greater likelihood of success, while those who choose foolishly and irresponsibly have a far greater likelihood of failure. Success and failure frequently manifest themselves in personal and family income.
You choose to drop out of high school and you are apt to have a different outcome than someone who gets a diploma and pushes on with purposeful education.
You have your children out of wedlock and life is apt to take one course, you have them within a marriage and life is apt to take another course.

My doctor makes far more than I do. There is significant income inequality between us. Our lives have had an inequality of outcome, but, our lives also have had an inequality of effort. While my doctor went to college and then devoted his young adulthood to medical school and residency, I got a job in a restaurant.
He made a choice, I made a choice, and our choices led us to different outcomes. His outcome pays a lot better than mine.
Does that mean he cheated and Barack Obama needs to take away his wealth? No, it means we are both free men in a free society where free choices lead to different outcomes.
It is not inequality Barack Obama intends to take away, it is freedom.
The freedom to succeed, and the freedom to fail. There is no true option for success if there is no true option for failure.
The pursuit of happiness means a whole lot less when you face the punitive hand of government if your pursuit brings you more happiness than the other guy. Even if the other guy sat on his arse and did nothing. Even if the other guy made a lifetime's worth of asinine and shortsighted decisions.
Barack Obama and the Democrats preach equality of outcome as a right, while completely ignoring equality of effort.
The simple Law of the Harvest - as ye sow, so shall ye reap - is sometimes applied as, "The harder you work, the more you get." Obama would turn that upside down. Those who achieve are to be punished as enemies of society and those who fail are to be rewarded as wards of society.
Entitlement will replace effort as the key to upward mobility in American society if Barack Obama gets his way. He seeks a lowest common denominator society in which the government besieges the successful and productive to foster equality through mediocrity.
He and his party speak of two Americas and their grip on power is based on using the votes of one to sap the productivity of the other.

America is not divided by the differences in outcomes, it is divided by the differences in efforts. It is a false philosophy to say one man's success comes about unavoidably as the result of another man's victimization.
What Obama offered was not a solution, but a separatism. He has fomented division and strife, pitted one set of Americans against another for his own political benefit. That's what socialists offer.

I've been asked several times what I think about Common Core Standards.  At first I did not pay attention to this issue, but as it is more and more coming to the forefront , I decided to look into it. After all, I have to look out for my grandchildren.

Although the state leaders would like to make the public think the state wrote the Common Core standards truth is there were 5 people responsible for writing the Common Core standards we see today.

David Coleman and Susan Pimentel (ELA) Dr. Jason Zimba, Phil Daro and Bill McCallum (Math).  This FACT can be substantiated.  It is clear that Dr. Zimba doesn't think very highly of the very standards he wrote.  Dr. Stotsky was also a member of the Common Core Validation Committee and she was responsible for the outstanding academic achievement of her home state of MA.  She  refused to sign off on the Common Core standard final document.

 Dr. Jim Milgram of Stanford University was also on the CC Validation Committee (the only math standard content expert on the CC Validation Committee) and he too refused to sign off on the final standards.  His research indicates children with only an Algebra II education graduate from college at a rate of only 39.3% .  While students that enter college with Calculus graduate college at a rate of 83.3%.  The panel of real expertise in the field of standard development boiled down to Dr. Stotsky and Dr. Milgram and they both refused to sign off on the final standards.  Dr. Milgram also states that CC is not for the top 30% of students.  The top 30% will regress to the median and we will be left with mediocracy at best.

My summation of what I see is:

The children of the common people will be TRAINED to fill the low paying jobs (this is why the dumbing down) while children of the elite class will get the best EDUCATION.

This explains why Sidwell Friends (the school where President Obama sends his daughters) does not support Common Core and have no intentions of bringing CC into their school.  I placed a call to the admissions department at Sidwell Friends in DC and they told me they do not use Common Core.  I was told they have their own standards and curriculum.  I then asked if there were plans to implement Common Core in the future and they said NO.  I think you will find that just like Obamacare many of our elected officials and the elite class are not subjecting their children to Common Core.

The real goal of Common Core is to finally develop a full blown school to work program where ourchildren are trained not educated.

SENIORS, BUCKLE UP FOR A BUMPY RIDE

Remember the ad that pushed grandma over the cliff?  Remember all the talk about death panels?  Do you also remember Obama promising us we can keep our health insurance? I don't think its going to be quite like that.

Today I had a conversation with a doctor friend of mine who is a Podiatrist.  Dr. ABC is already planning to close his practice. You will see later why.  My friend talked with another doctor who works for Medicare under the Obamacare laws.  He informed her that every single person will get a letter in 9 months informing them that they will then be assigned to a group of doctors that will manage them. Each person will have a set amount of money for his/her overall health care which will be decided by Medicare.  In other words, a person in Medicare gets a "value" and a money amount allocated within his/her group and then a panel decides how this money is spent.  (Death panel?)  This group will be the called the "ACO". Sorry, I don't know what it stands for.

I asked my friend if my husband, who is on Medicare, will still be able to see his internist and other doctors that he likes.  She informed me that he will not be able to see whatever doctor he wants, but rather he will be in the group his card is in.  My friend, the Podiatrist, is concerned that a patient will spend his/hers allotted money preferably on heart, and other doctors before a Podiatrist. 

I hope this scares you as much as it does us.  There is talk that Congress will vote on defunding Obamacare this coming Friday.  Please call your representative and ask them to defund this hideous law.

Now, when they reach college age,  Joe Legal's kids may not get into a State School and may not qualify for scholarships, grants or other tuition help, even though  Joe has been paying for State Schools through his taxes, while  Jose Illegal's  kids "go to the head of the class" because they are a  minority.

Joe Legal and  Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but  Joe paid for them and  Jose did not pay.

If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens...you are part of the problem!

Well, we now see that the U.S. Government has succeeded in closing down one of the largest private welfare programs in the country. The LDS canning facility for the Eastern U.S. was forced to shut down because of excessive regulation. (Remember back around 2009 when we 'stopped S 510, the Food Safety Act, well as you know the U.S. Senate snuck S-510 [in it's entirety] into a Defense Authorization bill in December of 2010, it died in the House, then the House, on Dec. 19, 2010 passed H.R. 2751, AN EXACT COPY OF S 510, on a voice vote! If there was ever a doubt that the current administration is on a mission to totally change the U.S. into a Cloward and Piven communist utopia, this episode should remove that doubt. Just as opponents of S 510 predicted, the legislation would give total control of our food supply system to the government, and that was too dangerous, has now manifested. Taken into account with recent revelations of the depth of government data gathering on it's citizens and there can no longer be any doubt of the goals of the current Administration.

The combat code of the US Military is that we don’t abandon our dead or wounded on the battlefield. In US Air Force lingo, fighter pilots don’t run off and leave their wingmen. If one of our own is shot down, still alive and not yet in enemy captivity, we will either come to get him or die trying.  Among America ’s fighting forces, the calm, sure knowledge that such an irrevocable bond exists is priceless. Along with individual faith and personal grit, it is a sacred trust that has often sustained hope in the face of terribly long odds.

The disgraceful abandonment of our Ambassador and those brave ex-SEALs who fought to their deaths to save others in that compound is nothing short of dereliction-of-duty.  Additionally, the patently absurd cover-up scenario that was fabricated in the aftermath was an outright lie in attempt to shield the President and the Secretary of State from responsibility.

It has been over eight months since the attack on our compound in Benghazi .  The White House strategy, with the aid of a “lap dog press” has been to run out the clock before the truth is forthcoming.  The recent testimonies of the three “whistle blowers” have reopened the subject and hopefully will lead to exposure and disgrace of those responsible for this embarrassing debacle.

 It would appear that the most recent firewall which the Administration is counting on is the contention that there were simply no military assets that could be brought to bear in time to make a difference… mainly due to the unavailability of tanker support for fighter aircraft.  This is simply BS, regardless how many supposed “experts” the Administration trot out to make such an assertion. The bottom line is that even if the closest asset capable of response was half-way around the world, you don’t just sit on your penguin ass and do nothing. The fact is that the closest asset was not half-way around the world, but as near as Aviano Air Base , Italy where two squadrons of F-16Cs are based.   Consider the following scenario (all times Benghazi local):

When Hicks in Tripoli receives a call at 9:40 PM from Ambassador Stevens informing him “Greg, we are under attack!” (his last words), he immediately notifies all agencies and prepares for the immediate initiation of an existing “Emergency Response Plan.”  At AFRICON, General Carter Ham attempts to mount a rescue effort, but is told to “stand down.”  By 10:30 PM an unarmed drone is overhead the compound and streaming live feed to various Command and Control Agencies… and everyone watching that feed knew damn well what was going on. At 11:30 PM Woods, Doherty and five others leave Tripoli, arriving in Benghazi at 1:30 AM on Wednesday morning, where they hold off the attacking mob from the roof of the compound until they are killed by a mortar direct hit at 4:00 AM. 

So nothing could have been done, eh?  Nonsense.  If one assumes that tanker support really was not available… what about this:

When at 10:00 PM AFRICON alerts the 31st TFW Command Post in Aviano Air Base, Italy of the attack, the Wing Commander orders preparation for the launch of two F-16s and advises the Command Post at NAS Sigonella to prepare for hot pit refueling and quick turn of the jets.

By 11:30 PM, two F-16Cs with drop tanks and each armed with five hundred 20 MM rounds are airborne. Flying at 0.92 mach they will cover the 522 nautical miles directly to NAS Sigonella in 1.08 hours.    

While in-route, the flight lead is informed of the tactical situation, rules of engagement, and radio frequencies to use.

The jets depart Sigonella at 1:10 AM with full fuel load and cover the 377 nautical miles directly to Benghazi in 0.8 hours, arriving at 1:50 AM… which would be 20 minutes after the arrival of Woods, Doherty and their team.

Providing that  the two F-16s initial pass over the mob, in full afterburner at 200 feet and 550 knots did not stop the attack in its tracks, only a few well placed strafing runs on targets of opportunity would assuredly do the trick.

Were the F-16s fuel state insufficient to recover at Sigonelli after jettisoning their external drop tanks, they could easily do so at Tripoli International Airport , only one-half hour away.

As for those hand-wringing naysayers who would worry about IFR clearances, border crossing authority, collateral damage, landing rights, political correctness and dozens of other reasons not to act… screw them.  It is high time that our “leadership” get their priorities straight and put America ’s interests first. 

The end result would be that Woods and Doherty would be alive.  Dozens in the attacking rabble would be rendezvousing with “72 virgins”… and a clear message would have been sent to the next worthless POS terrorist contemplating an attack on Americans that it is not really a good idea to “tug on Superman’s cape.”
Of course all this would depend upon a Commander In Chief that was more concerned with saving the lives of those he put in harm’s way than getting his crew rest for a campaign fund raising event in Las Vegas the next day.  As well as a Secretary of State that actually understood “What difference did it make?”, or a Secretary of Defense whose immediate response was not to the effect that “One of the military tenants is that you don’t commit assets until you fully understand the tactical situation.”  Was he not watching a live feed from the unarmed drone… and he didn’t understand the tactical situation?  YGBSM! 

 Ultimately it comes down to the question of who gave that order to “stand down?”  Whoever that coward turns out to be should be exposed, removed from office, and face criminal charges

for dereliction of duty.  The combat forces of the United States of America deserve leadership that really does “have their back” when the chips are down.
