THE REAL REASON FOR DETROIT'S POPULATION EXODUS

This is a great article explaining what really happened to Detroit.  The census data that was realeased today shows a 25% decline in the last decade.

It's not just the decline of the auto industry, which by itself can be attributed to poor upper management and union abuse.

But, in reality, Detroit is America's poster child for the disastrous federal welfare policies that have gutted the black family and made inner cities everywhere unlivable.

It is sad to see what happened to a once beautiful, bustling city.  I first came to Detroit in 1969, when the city was still alive and business was booming.  If Mayor Bing can turn things around, along with the new Governor Snyder, that will be a miracle.

  1. Exactly correct. The city council just voted to increase water rates because of "declining revenue" Well lets see, if there are fewer people using water, then they need fewer people to run the water department. But instead of cutting a few jobs, they hike the rates up on the rest of us. This is why Detroit is in the tank, 60 years of Democratic rule.

  2. We can thank the Democrats for destroying Detroit and other cities in America. Now we have the most destructive Democrat working to destroy the entire country.

I believe God put me on earth to accomplish a certain number of things and I will live until my work is finished. Visiting nice blogs like yours is high on my list. Right now I am so far behind I don't think I will ever die!

When you have the time come by a visit :-)

Take care and above all else, guard your heart for it affects everything else you do.

  6. I grew up in Flint, which is not far from Detroit. I shed a tear every time I hear or read these stories. My sister tells me Flint is not much better.
