So I said to him, "Barack, I know Abe Lincoln, and you ain't Abe Lincoln."

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
you cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
you cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

......Abraham Lincoln

  1. This post is perfection! Thanks, Rotti :D

  2. Hi! I'm visiting from MBC. Great blog.

  3. Great picture Rotti. Don't know where you got it...Don't know if it's art...But I like it!

I know this isn't about racism (although a lot of what we're talking about is) But when I read Abe/barack, I thought to ask; Please check out my "Racism, what is it? Why?", and my other posts too!

PS...I'm from MI too. It's not like it was when I was a kid, anymore. Then again, I shouldn't talk...I live in CA. (But at least out in the sticks! Like I like it)
